WEBINAR ON IMPORTANCE OF SPACE EDUCATION & AWARENESS CASE STUDY OF PAKISTAN’S SPACE EDUCATION & AWARENESS DRIVE (SEAD) PROGRAM; 7 APRIL 2021

The webinar’s objectives were to impart knowledge on concepts and significance of space education and public awareness activities. The event targeted participation from academia, public/ private sector stake holders, and policy makers to kick start discussion on contributions of Islamic Golden Age era in the fields of astronomy and space science, the importance of space science, exploration, technology and applications for a country’s national development, and the way forward for Muslim countries to harness the benefits of this technology. The highlight of the webinar was the case study of Space Education and Awareness Scheme designed and implemented in Pakistan and its outcomes compared to conventional approach. 42x participants attended the course.
