ISNET’s 1st Focal Point Organisations Networking Meeting; 28th Nov 2023; Virtual

Focal point organizations are nominated by respective member states Governments to undertake activities on behalf of their country using ISNET platform. The focal organisations are the coordinating and communicating entities with ISNET Secretariat. ISNET’s 1^st focal point organisations networking meeting was held virtually on 28^th Nov 2023. The meeting was attended by ISNET Secretariat and officials from Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Türkiye and Regional Center for Remote Sensing of North African States (CRTEAN).

Member States were introduced about establishment of ISNET, its procedures and mechanisms, important initiatives & activities and the challenges faced by the Secretariat. Afterwards, the nominated focal points gave introduction about their organisation, how it is participating in ISNET’s activities and what suggestions they have for the Network. Followed by the break, discussion began regarding the challenges and suggestions for ISNET Secretariat. The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks while appreciating the initiative of conducting the first ever focal point meeting and hoping that the practice will continue in future also.
