ISNET/SUPARCO Distance Training on Stellar Astronomy; 14 Sep 2022.

Our understanding of the universe is changing with the addition of new space and ground based observatories. The space missions like Kepler, Tess and Gaia have revolutionalized the field of stellar astronomy. The photometric and spectroscpic techniques in stellar astronomy, are crucial methods to extract information about physical properties and dynamics of stars. This course intended to highlight studies related to star clusters, variable stars, exoplanets and magnetic activity of M-type stars by using Gaia and TESS spacecrafts data, available online. Talks were given by experts from Turkey’s Astronomy & Space Sciences Department, Astronomy & Space Sciences Observatory Applied and Research Center (UZAYBiMER), University of Malaya and NED University of Engineering and Technology. 23x participants attended this webinar.
