ISNET/SUPARCO Distance Training Course on “Space based disaster monitoring and management”; 5-7 Sep 2023

ISNET Secretariat in collaboration with SUPARCO organized distance training course on ” Space based disaster monitoring and management” from 5-7 Sep 2023. This course provided basic understanding of space based disaster monitoring and management. The course started from image interpretation techniques, remote sensing for disaster monitoring as well as rapid and detailed damage assessment. This course provided hands-on exercises emphasizing on the flood, earthquake, landslide and drought rapid mapping and damage assessment techniques. This course also gave brief about the hazard modeling and a case study for flood hazard assessment. Around 37 participants attended the course.
