APSCO/ SUPARCO DISTANCE TRAINING COURSE ON NAVIGATION ERROR ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE; 1- 4 FEBRUARY 2021

APSCO and SUPARCO co organized the said distance training course. ISNET being the observer of APSCO was invited to nominate participants from its member states. 03x of ISNET’s participants attended the course. Error analysis is the prime task in the configuration designing of Inertial Navigation System (INS). Generally, combinations of analysis and simulation techniques are used to predict system performance and error budgeting. It is through error analysis that requirements on instrument accuracies are specified and system performance evaluated. Moreover, the prime concern is to determine variances of the resulting errors at the output. After elaborating the fundamentals of inertial navigation, this training covered various navigation error sources and their impact on the performance of INS. Design of a user friendly error analysis tool and the required features were also discussed.
