APSCO/CONIDA DISTANCE TRAINING COURSE ON INTRODUCTION TO SATELLITE POWER SYSTEMS; 12 – 15 OCTOBER 2020

APSCO and the space agency of Peru (CONIDA) co organized the distance training course on “Introduction to Satellite Power Systems” from 12-15 Oct 2020. The announcement of the course was shared with ISNET for possible participation from its member states. 3x of ISNET’s participants attended the course. This short course presented the design drivers for Power Systems in space applications, introduced the main elements in a satellite Power System (Solar Arrays, Battery and Power Electronics). Also, the Elemental Power Bus Schematic were presented, including some examples of regulated and unregulated topologies and protection logics.
