ISNET/SUPARCO DISTANCE TRAINING ON SUN-EARTH CONNECTION; 16-17 AUG 2022

ISNET SECRETARIAT in collaboration with SUPARCO is organizing distance training course on “Sun-Earth Connection”. This course will provide basic understanding of Sun and Earth connection. The Sun is our nearest star that gives life to planet Earth. It expels high-energy particles and deadly radiation continuously out into space called solar wind. This solar wind past the planets and interact with their magnetic field and/or atmosphere/ionosphere. This interaction of solar wind with Earths space environment and Sun-Earth interaction has immense technological and societal impacts. Continuous emission of particles and radiation can impact and destroy technological systems and is one the major concerns for human space exploration. It causes damage or destruction of Earth’s orbiting satellites and pose threats to the reliability and accuracy of global communications and navigation systems.
